Too bad that it very tedious to work with, but I haven't tried 2.4 yet, so I'll give it a try :)
But PureLight is not included, is that right?

The engine has been compiled with LuaJIT for faster script performance. A bug in the entity depth occlusion system has also been fixed.
2.42
-Fixed water saturation/contrast/brightness bug.
-Fog now appears on water.
-Vegetation distribution and align to terrain now work together.
-Fixed editor treeview crash.
-Vertical sync now enabled in editor by default.
-Fixed particle rotation bug.
-Vegetation loading and auto-distribution much faster.
