Full tutorial made by me in June of 2009. This training DVD length tutorial covers the complete creation of a modern weapon, the AK74U, using 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Marmoset, and assorted brushes/plugins.
This contains over 7 hours of footage! Also included are several of the brushes I used as well as the final asset.
This video series was originally made so I could study my own workflow and figure out what I needed to improve on. A couple friends wanted to see the videos so I quickly edited it and voiced it over in what was probably the least professional method ever.I sincerely apologize for the unprofessional nature of this series and at times the extreme annoyance of the voiceovers. Some people may still find this series useful but I should note that it'svery outdated and the methods I use now are radically different from what is shown in the videos.
To those who have bothered to sit through the series already, I admire your patience, perseverance, and high tolerance for annoying things. Thank you for your support.
